Year 3 - Final project Evaluation

For this project, it was much more stressful to write as I was originally planning to write a six-episode series at about 30 pages (roughly 30 minutes each) per episode. But, I soon realized that I didn't have the writing power of the ability to stretch out this idea to six episodes when had only gotten to the second episode. So, because of this, I reached out to my university teacher to change to a feature-length script, something that I found much easier to write to as I only to write 60 pages rather than 180. Strengths: I feel that my strengths in my writing came from my descriptions of both the characters and the environment, I was able to create a world where the reader could step in and feel like they knew it. I knew from films like Lord of the Rings, that you want a world where the audience could feel as if they belonged in that environment, even if it was their first time watching the film, it's a great first impression on the viewer. Richard Grannon interview and transcript

For the first interview of our documentary, we interviewed Rochard Grannon who runs 'Spartan Life Coach', Richard is an 'NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) master practitioner, is passionate about helping people defend themselves, get back on their feet and finally free themselves from narcissistic abuse'. He also focuses on social media and aspects of it alongside social media. We choose Richard for this interview as we felt we could get two elements of both mental health and social media in one. We interviewed him on the 5th of May for roughly twenty minutes exploring how social media can affect mental health and how it has affected our society as a whole. Below is the interview video from that day. For transcribing his interview, I played through his interview many many times in order to write down his answers to every question Aodhan asked. AS Live - Analysis of a studio production for commission

One of the shows I decided to look into for analysis was ‘Jungle Run’ a CITV show that ran from 1999 to 2006. This show followed three players as they work together to collect silver monkey statues in order to collect the grand prize: the Golden Monkey Statue. I decided to look at this show as I felt it fit the kind of tone and style of the show we were producing ‘Quest’. In Jungle Run, the host, Chris Jarvis , was, at times nice towards the contestants, however, due to his role as the Jungle Guide, he could quite tough and shouty at times. I feel this fits well with the character of Malaghast, our wizard who is our host and guide in this adventure. He is also quite pushy and harsh towards the contestants, a lot more than Chris Jarvis , but this is in tone with the show, much how Chris is with Jungle Run.
